For towing safety, connect Safety Chains / Cables properly every time you tow (required in most states.) Cross the Chains / Cables under the coupler, then attach securely to the tow vehicle so they can't bounce loose. Leave only enough slack to permit full turning. Too much slack may prevent Chains / Cables from maintaining control if other connections separate. Don't let the chains drag on the road. This damages the chain and may create sparks. Safety Cables are coiled, which creates tension and eliminates dragging and rattles.
If Chain / Cable show wear or are damaged, replace with EZ Loader OEM Safety Chains / Cables.
